Ontmoeting EU Troika- Rusland op 11 februari (en)

On 11 February President of the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg will lead a delegation of the EU Troika that will negotiate with representatives of the Russian Federation in Moscow.

The meeting between the EU Troika and Russia will also be attended by European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner i and High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy and Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union Javier Solana i. The Russian delegation will be headed by the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov. The Swedish Foreign Minister, Carl Bildt, also accepted an invitation to attend as representative of the next country to hold the EU Presidency.

Among the main points on the agenda will be relations between EU and Russia, external security and other selected international questions - Southern Caucasus, Afghanistan, the Middle East peace process and European security.
