Buzek verwelkomt nieuwe regering Bosnië en Herzegovina (en)

Commenting on the political agreement reached by the six leading parliamentary parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the formation of a new state government, the President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek stated:

"The creation of a new state government in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a much awaited development, and a good news for the country and for the region.

It is first and foremost in the interest of Bosnian citizens, but it also gives renewed impetus to EU-BiH cooperation and to BiH's integration with the EU.

I visited BiH in November and I am fully aware of the complexities of this country. I encouraged unity among all main political players and I am glad that they finally managed to reach the agreement. With this new momentum, Bosnia and Herzegovina can make substantial and speedy progress towards stability, prosperity and effective governance for its citizens as well as for the EU."
