"I look forward to hearing about Estonia's innovativeness and how Estonia has returned to sustainable growth following the adoption of the euro on 1 January 2011. Estonia is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of regaining independence; it is worthwhile remembering how far Estonia has come in a relatively short time.

In Finland, I will underline the importance of the single market, the Europe 2020 strategy and the importance of research and development where Finland leads the way in the EU. Finland has invested heavily in education, innovation and the digital agenda; this is exactly what we must do now at the European level.

In both countries, I will stress how the European Parliament is acting to boost growth and prevent further financial and economic crises. "
