The President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, made the following statement on today's deadly attack in Liege:

"I am deeply appalled by today's deadly attack in Liege. My thoughts are with the victims, their families and friends. I wish the many injured a quick and full recovery and I am confident the Belgian authorities will fully investigate this cowardly act."
