UKRAINIAN PRAYER BREAKFAST 2/6/2016
ECPM participated to the 5th National Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast that was organized by the Inter - Factional Parliamentary Group “For Spirituality, Morality and Health of Ukraine”. Speakers were among others: the President and Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, the Heads of the Political Fractions as well as international speakers like Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein and ECPM Members Branislav Skripek MEP (Slovakia) and Rt Hon Jeffrey Donaldson MP (United Kingdom). ECPM’s Director for European Affairs, Leo Van Doesburg, participated in the programme by reading a segment of the Lord’s prayer. The meeting was moderated by ECPM Member Pavel Unguryan (Ukraine) and MP Oksana Bilozir.
FORUM ON THE “COOPERATION OF CHRISTIAN POLITICIANS AND CIVIL SOCIETY IN THE PROMOTION OF CHRISTIAN VALUES ON THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA” 2-3/6/2016
ECPM together with the the Inter - Factional Parliamentary Group “For Spirituality, Morality and Health of Ukraine” organized a big international forum on the "Cooperation of Christian Politicians and Civil Society in the Promotion of Christian values on the International Arena". In total, about 550 people, representatives of NGOs, parliamentarians, assistants, representatives of churches, participated to the forum.
The programme included panel discussions and keynote addresses by international experts coming from ADF International, Christian Legal Center, European Post, FAFCE (European Federation of Catholic Family Associations), In the Name of the Family (Croatia), Nova Terra, Institute for Intercultural Dialogue Dynamics, Observatory on intolerance and discrimination of Christians, and World Youth Alliance. Additionally, special representatives that included Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein, Paul Petrie (European Prayer Breakfast), Joe Savage (Alabama University) and George and Linda Roller (Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship) participated to the event.
The event was attended by ECPM members Inga Bite MP (Latvia), Valeriu Ghiletchi MP (Moldova), Rt Hon Jeffrey Donaldson MP (United Kingdom) and of course Pavel Unguryan MP (Ukraine).
