Fredrik Reinfeldt neemt namens Zweeds Voorzitterschap deel aan ceremonie ter herdenking van de val van de Muur (en)

On Monday 9 November, Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt i travels to Berlin to be present at a ceremony to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The public are also welcome to attend the memorial ceremony, which is to take place outdoors by the Brandenburg Gate. In addition to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, Russian Prime Minister Dmitrij Medvedev, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will also attend.

Programme points:

16.00 Press meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt.

Place: InterContinental Hotel, Budapester Strasse 2. Please note: Media are requested to arrive by 15.30 at the latest.

19.00 Memorial ceremony begins.

Place: Brandenburg Gate.
