1600 nieuwe vluchtelingen arriveren op Lampedusa (en)

Some 1,600 North African migrants arrived on the Italian island Lampedusa over the weekend, with the majority of them coming from Libya. The island's port authority said 10 boats carried the migrants. A total of 11,000 North Africans have landed on the island this year, fleeing conflicts in their countries.
