China veroordeelt mensenrechtenadvocaat (en)

China has sentenced disabled lawyer Ni Yulan to 2 years and 8 months for disturbance of the peace and fraud. He represented people evicted from their homes to make way for development. The EU i's Beijing mission voiced concern about "the deterioration of the situation for human rights defenders in China."
