Israel's intention to construct 300 new housing units in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, was condemned by the EU on Sunday. "The European Union has repeatedly stated that all settlement construction is illegal under international law and constitutes an obstacle to peace," said EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton i.
