Ireland is set for a referendum on legalising same-sex marriage, reports the Guardian. A special convention on constitutional reform on Sunday voted 79% in favour of holding the referendum. "Ireland is ready for equality for same-sex couples and wants equal access to civil marriage," said Marriage Equality director Moninne Griffith
