Cornelia Primosch is joined by Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, Spokeswoman of the European Commission (EC), to discuss the adaptation of a proposal for a Directive on bank accounts.

This Directive is presented on Wednesday, the 8th of May, and aims to make clearer for consumers how much it actually costs to get basic banking services, making it easier to switch bank accounts and getting an account.

The proposed directive on bank accounts will focus on three areas: comparability of bank account fees, bank account switching and access to bank accounts.
