Striking air-traffic controllers in France grounded 1,800 flights Tuesday, with protests against EU plans to liberalise the sector expected to continue until the weekend and to spread to neighbouring countries. French transport minister Cuvillier urged Brussels to postpone the "Single Sky" package, but the EU commission wants to press ahead.
