Ireland's economy has contracted in two consecutive quarters and is now officially in a recession for the first time since 2009, reports BBC. Its GDP contracted by 0.6% in the first quarter of 2013, despite growth projections by analysts. Ireland received an €85 billion bailout in 2010.
