Commenting on the train accident of Brétigny-sur-Orge, the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz i stated:

"It is with great sadness that I learned of the accident of Brétigny-sur-Orge.

On behalf of the European Parliament, I send my most sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

On the eve of their National Day, my thoughts go out to all French citizens in these difficult moments. "
