Comité van de Regio's bespreekt Europese energieproblemen (en)
Europe’s energy issues, sustainable energy, the uptake of local resources, energy safety, and energy network connection - these and other important topics will be covered during the first field session of EU municipalities and regions’ heads who represent the Committee of the Regions European Conservatives and Reformists Group in Vilnius on 19-20 November.
Daiva Matonienė, Vice-Minister of Environment, Žydrūnė Juodkienė, Vice-Minister of Energy, Gordon Keymer, Head of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, and Lithuanian and foreign academics and energy and geology experts will also participate.
It's the eighth event of the Lithuanian Presidency i in Lithuania dedicated to the country and Europe’s problems at the local and regional levels.
Another event also dealt with energy - the Committee of the Regions European People Party’s field session in Kaunas on 18 October.
The European Conservatives and Reformists Group is one of the Committee’s five factions. Formed in June, the Keymer-led faction currently consists of 27 members who represent seven EU Member States.
