On 21-22 November, the Lithuanian Arbitration Association is organizing the international conference, Arbitration: its Application Experience in EU Member States and Development Outlook in Lithuania. The Conference will take place in Vilnius, at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Conference Hall (III palace). This Lithuanian Presidency-related event is dedicated to Lithuanian businesses and their legal department heads, as well as governmental institutions whose functions or interests are related to international business.

The Conference’s main goal is to introduce a key condition of international commercial cooperation to the business community: the resolution of commercial disputes through arbitration (as an alternative to court), by stressing the features and advantages of this procedure. About 20 specialists will read reports and share international arbitration practices.

On 21 November (Thursday) at 1 pm the event participants' press conference will be held (at the Seimas Press Conference Hall, II palace).

The Conference programme and more information are available at the website of the Lithuanian Presidency of the EU Council Parliamentary Dimension, www.eu2013.lrs.lt, and the event page.

The event will be streamed live on the Seimas website and the Lithuanian Presidency of the EU Council Parliamentary Dimension website.
