EP-voorzitter Schulz spreekt met parlement en kabinet tijdens bezoek 2 en 3 december (en)

The President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz i will pay an official visit to The Netherlands on 2 and 3 December 2013, on the invitation of Anouchka van Miltenburg i, Speaker of the Tweede Kamer.

President Schulz will meet with the political authorities in The Netherlands as well as with civil society.

On Monday 2 December, EP President Schulz will be welcomed by the Presidents of the Second and First Chambers of The Netherlands, Anouchka van Miltenburg and Ankie Broekers-Knol i.

President Schulz will also visit the Headquarters of Europol and the educational facility ROC Mondriaan.

The day will close with a dinner hosted by the Mayor of The Hague, Jozias Van Aartsen, on Monday evening.

On Tuesday 3 December, President Schulz will be received by HM King Willem-Alexander at 9.30am. There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning for accredited press.

President Schulz will meet Prime Minister Mark Rutte i at 1pm. President Schulz will also meet the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands Frans Timmermans i at 8.15am on Tuesday. There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning for accredited press at the start of both meetings.

On Tuesday morning President Schulz will also visit ProDemos i, House for Democracy and the Rule of Law.
