Beste Europese projecten misdaadpreventie uitgereikt in Vilnius (en)

During the Lithuanian Presidency i of the Council of the European Union (EU), on 11-13 December, the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior is organising a European Crime Prevention Network (EUCPN) conferece on presentation of the EUCPN best practice projects, the Award Ceremony and the meeting of the EUCPN Council.

This year,the theme of the best practice projects is domestic violence prevention. Till November, all the EU Member States conducted their national selections and submitted one of their best practice project per Member State to the EUCPN Secretariat. Afterwards, the special EUCPN evaluation jury selected 3 project winners from the 18 projects - the main ECPA (European Crime Prevention Award) winner, which is awarded prize of 10 000 EUR and two winners of special nominations, each receiving a prize of 5 000 EUR. These nominations will be announced during the 11 December ECPA Award Ceremony. During the conference on best practice projects all the projects submitted will be presented, and recommendations on implementation of domestic violence prevention will be discussed.

After the coference, it is planned to issue a publication inculing the descriptions of all the Best practice projects and recommendations for the practitioners in the EU countries. This publication will be distributed through national representatives of EUCPN countries and other channels.

During its meeting, the EUCPN Council will discuss the EU Commission‘s recomendations on the progress of EUCPN and development of its activities.
