Ukraine refuses to privatise gas pipes

The Ukrainian parliament on Thursday voted against plans by the government to privatise the national gas transportation system in line with requirements following Ukraine’s free trade agreement with the EU, reports ITAR-TASS. The plan was to split the ownership into two public joint stock companies.
