Conference on 27 October in Rome to relaunch Europe 2020 strategy
“Towards the Mid-term Review of Europe 2020 - Can Europe get back on a Growth Track?”
The Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union is committed to review and relaunch Europe 2020 strategy, which was launched in 2007 and has now reached its midway-point. A conference on Monday 27 October in Rome, at 9 A.M., aims at taking stock of the results achieved so far, and seriously compromised by the crisis that has hit the EU since 2008, and at identifying adjustments for 2020.
'Towards the Mid-term Review of Europe 2020 - Can Europe get back on a Growth Track?’' is the title of the meeting organised by the Italian Institute for International Affairs in collaboration with the Department for European policies of the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers, at Sala Polifunzionale, via Santa Maria. The conference is in Italian and English with simultaneous interpretation.
The conference is an opportunity to discuss the challenges and prospects as well as the changes to be brought about as regards Europe 2020 relaunch, in particular in the areas of industrial development, energy, infrastructure and the new approach to the internal market. It also aims at providing a boost to the review, which will be made next spring at the initiative of the European Commission.
