Switzerland violates human rights law in EU asylum case

The Strasbourg-based European Court of Human Rights on Tuesday ruled against Switzerland for wanting to send a family of Afghan asylum seekers to Italy without adequate assurances for their well-being. The issue underlines larger problems with the EU's Dublin system, where point-of-entry member states are responsible for asylum applications.
