Lower House Ireland votes to recognise Palestine

The Lower House of the Irish parliament has voted on Wednesday to recognize Palestine as an independent state, amid a wave of pro-recognition motions across Europe. The motion is non-binding, but the Irish foreign affairs minister has said Ireland wants to recognize a Palestinian state "in principle".
