UK business chief calls for early EU referendum

A referendum on EU membership should be held in the UK within twelve months of May's general election, the head of the British Chambers has said. In a Financial Times interview on Tuesday, John Longworth said the vote should be held ”in order to avoid two years of uncertainty".
