Dublin lobbies for relaxation of EU rules on spending

Key ministers of the Irish government have upped pressure on the EU commission, calling publicly for more “flexibility” to Ireland on next year's budget which will be the last before general elections, reports the Irish Times. Dublin wants the same flexibility to meet fiscal targets as was given to France.
