Jennifer Baker is joined by Federico de Girolamo, European Parliament press officer, to discuss €1.8 billion in financial aid for Ukraine.

On Thursday 19 March, the Parliament’s International Trade Committee will vote on whether Ukraine should be granted up to €1.8 billion in EU macro-financial assistance for economic and political stabilisation and reform. This would be the biggest EU-granted financial help made to a non-EU country under the Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) programme. “We expect a positive vote” says De Girolamo.
