Presidents Juncker and Tusk are today in Kyiv for the 17th EU-Ukraine Summit. This is the first such Summit under the Juncker Commission — and is also President Juncker's first bilateral visit outside the EU, reflecting the importance of the EU-Ukraine relationship.

They will meet Ukraine's President Poroshenko to discuss issues like the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement; political and economic reforms in Ukraine, including EU financial and other assistance; the crisis in eastern Ukraine and the application of the Minsk agreements, including the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission; regional issues; and the preparations for the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Riga.

After the Summit (around 3.15pm Brussels time), the three Presidents will hold a press conference to set out the main results of the Summit; while tomorrow, President Juncker will open an international conference on support for Ukraine, stressing EU support for the country and setting out the importance of political and economic reform in Ukraine.
