Prostitution costs France €1.6bn a year

The Mouvement du Nid, a French NGO which works with prostitutes, said Thursday the sector has a net €1.6bn a year cost in France in terms of health and social impact. Its EU-financed study said it's a "myth" the sex industry, which, in France, involves 37,000 prostitutes, contributes to growth.
