EU welcomes Ukraine-Hungary gas deal

The European Commission on Tuesday welcomed an interconnection agreement between gas network operators in Hungary and Ukraine allowing flows of natural gas both ways across the border. The deal between Hungarian operator Földgázszállító Zrt. and Ukraine's Ukrtransgaz should reduce Gazprom's control of the gas network in Ukraine, the Commission said.
