This summer, a group of far-right MEPs formed a new block in the European Parliament: Europe of Nations and Freedom. Fronted by Marine Le Pen i, the group’s eight parties are united in their rejection of the European Union and “mass-migration”. But, as Ellie Mears reports in the first of this two-part series, they disagree sharply on major areas of EU policy including the environment and the economy. Will the financial incentives of forming a group be enough to keep them together?
