EU welcomes Anglo-French Calais migrant operation

Two top EU officials - Frans Timmermans i and Dimitris Avramopoulos i - say in joint statement Thursday the joint Franco-British police operation at the Channel Tunnel entrance in Calais “put into practice the common approach agreed in the European Council”, and announce plan to visit the site on 31 August.
