With speakers from DG ECFIN and the EIB, this lunchtime briefing will enable participants to understand the European Investment Project Portal and the European Investment Advisory Hub, and crucially, what's in it for regions and cities.

The key object of Pillar II of the Investment Plan for Europe is to make finance reach the real economy. Pillar II includes two major initiatives: (i) the establishment of a transparent forward-looking project pipeline through the European Investment Project Portal; and (ii) the European Investment Advisory Hub.

The European Investment Project Portal (EIPP) is a web portal enabling EU-based project promoters to publish their projects and to reach potential investors worldwide. The EIPP will be a major step towards smoothening the functioning of the investment market, by offering on a single website standardised and transparent information on investment opportunities all-over Europe, accessible via a simple clickable EU map.

The European Investment Advisory Hub is a joint initiative by the European Commission and the European Investment Bank. The Advisory Hub offers a single access point to a wide range of advisory services and it aims to strengthen Europe's investment and business environment by enhancing the capacity of public and private actors to structure financially sound projects in order to bring them to maturity.
