Microsoft first to use new EU-US data pact

US giant Microsoft on Monday announced it would start using the new EU i-US Privacy Shield, a data transfer agreement that replaces a 15-year old pact known as Safe Harbour, reports Reuters. Privacy Shield is supposed to ensure the data of EU citizens in protected when transferred to the US.
