The BRexit Debate, Maastricht
The long story of the potential exit of the UK from the EU will unfold its next episode on the 23rd of June, when the referendum will take place.
With one in five people still allegedly undecided, the stakes are high. The greatest uncertainty brought by leaving the EU is that there is no precedent.
Brexiters invoke a multitude of reasons why the UK would be better off without the EU: the inefficiency and additional layers of rules and regulations added in Brussels, the low speed at which EU policymakers are acting and the challenges posed by free-movement of people.
On the other side of the barricade, a BRexit might leave the UK in a delicate position when it comes to existing trade agreements and diminish its importance as a financial center.
Join us for an interactive debate on the Brexit, where we will approach the topic from multiple perspectives: economics, law, social policy and politics.
