We are Europe, CLICK - picture on youth policies
Young people are nowadays a crucial resource but they are often marginalized in the social and economical life of our communities. In recent years, many steps forward have been made by governments in order to create tools and active policies able to valorize youth potential.
At European level , thanks to the structural funds, many resources have been allocated to incentivate youth policies. From 2014, thanks to the Youth Guarantee system, specific funds have been addressed to Member States with youth unemployment rates over 25%. These funds have been used for the implementation of guidance, education and training opportunities, job placement of NEETs. These investments have been re-funded in Tuscany throught POR FSE, paying specific attention to the fight against youth unemployment.
In Tuscany, since 2011, thanks to Giovanisì - the project promoted by Tuscany Region to help young people become independent, the regional government have integrated the existing youth policies and created new lines of interventions. More than €690 billion have been allocated to the project since its implementation. Moreovere, in this last programming period, thanks to the effective use of structural funds, Tuscany Region supports the strengthening and promotion of the opportunities related to education, transition to employment, start up of new businesses.
CLICK - picture on youth policies is part of Giovanisì activities and aims at discuss and reflect on the state of art of youth policies at European level, starting from a dynamic comparison of regional and local experiences.
