PERICLES project conference

The EU-funded PERICLES project is organising a conference entitled; ‘Acting on Change: New Approaches and Future Practices in Digital Preservation’ that will take place in London, UK, from 30 November to 1 December 2016.

The conference is aimed at those working to develop digital preservation policy, strategy and procedures; establish digital preservation infrastructures and workflows; systems developers, providers and procurers; and those interested in seeing the systems and tools developed that reflect their needs and environment. The conference aims to acknowledge different perspectives, contexts and practices, as well as highlight the solutions proposed by PERICLES project and other similar projects.

The conference will take place on two consecutive days with a range of panel discussions and workshops addressing the main topics and themes of the conference.

De Gemeenschappelijke Informatiedienst Onderzoek en Ontwikkelingen (CORDIS) houdt zich bezig informatieverstrekking over Europese onderzoeksactiviteiten in het kader van onderzoek en ontwikkeling en het verspreiden van technische kennis en toepassingen binnen de EU.

CORDIS heeft als doel:

  • - 
    deelname aan Europees onderzoek faciliteren en stimuleren
  • - 
    het verbeteren van de exploitatie van onderzoeksresultaten in het kader van een competitief Europa (zie ook Zevende Kaderprogramma) i
  • - 
    de praktische toepassing van technologisch onderzoek door bedrijven stimuleren door de verspreiding van kennis

    het bevorderen van de verspreiding van technologische kennis om de sociale acceptatie van nieuwe technologie te stimuleren
