Debate on Parliament’s proposals to stamp out practices exposed by Panama Papers

Better regulation of financial intermediaries, better protection of whistle-blowers and an EU i minimum corporate tax rate are among sweeping proposals up for debate on Tuesday, at 9.00
The recommendations are part of a swathe of reforms proposed by the Parliament’s Special Inquiry into Money laundering, Tax avoidance and Tax evasion (PANA) which has finished its inquiry after eighteen months’ work.
MEPs and Commissioner Pierre Moscovici will debate the findings of the Committee, which was originally set up in the wake of the Panama Papers revelations, before they vote on its many recommendations on Wednesday.
