Following receipt of proposals from the national authorities, and after consultation with the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union has appointed the following new Members to the European Court of Auditors.

Six new Members of the Court of Auditors have been appointed as of 7 May 2010, for a renewable term of six years:

  • - 
    Mr Szabolcs Fazakas (Hungary)
  • - 
    Mr Louis Galea (Malta)
  • - 
    Mr Ladislav Balko (Slovakia)
  • - 
    Mr Augustyn Kubik (Poland)
  • - 
    Mr Milan Martin Cvikl (Slovenia)
  • - 
    Ms Rasa Budbergyt? (Lithuania)

They will replace Mr Gejza Halász, Mr Josef Bonnici, Mr Július Molnár, Mr Jacek Uczkiewicz, Mr Vojko Anton?i? and Ms Irena Petruškevi?ien? respectively.

Furthermore, the six-year mandates of the following current Members of the Court of Auditors have been renewed as of 7 May 2010:

    Mr Igors Ludboržs (Latvia)
  • - 
    Mr Jan Kinšt (Czech Republic)
  • - 
    Ms Kersti Kaljulaid (Estonia)

The new organisation chart, individual photographs and the new Members' c.v.’s will be available shortly on the Court’s website www.eca.europa.eu. The new Members of the European Court of Auditors will be formally sworn in at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
