Frontex en NEN organiseren workshop EU-grensbewaking (en)

The Netherlands Standardisation Institute (NEN), coordinator of the mandate work, and the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union (Frontex i), host of this event, invite experts in the field of border security to share their ideas and experiences at this workshop.The specific area to be discussed is ABC systems and biometric identifiers, but related issues pertinent to EU border security can also be considered.

The workshop, which will take place the 4 - 5 April 2013 in Warsaw, Poland, will provide participants a unique opportunity to discuss European standardisation needs and proposals with relevant stakeholders, including representatives from national border management authorities, standardisation bodies, academia, technology providers and integrators of ABC systems as well as port authorities, regulatory bodies and passenger user groups. Based on user and market needs, the results of the workshop will shape the future of European standardisation in this field.
