EU auditors want broader and deeper contacts with other EU institutions and bodies

According to its 2013-17 strategy, the European Court of Auditors aims to strengthen partnerships with certain of its key stakeholders, such as with the various specialised committees of the European Parliament and the Council.

The European Court of Auditors (ECA) has appointed Finnish Member Mr Ville Itälä i to the newly created position of Member responsible for institutional relations - to enhance the ECA’s relations with other EU institutions at a strategic level, including increasing the opportunities for the ECA to have greater impact.
