Juncker says Merkel gave him guarantees for top job

Asked by Bild am Sonntag if Chancellor Merkel gave him any firm confirmation he will become EU commission chief if the centre-right wins the elections, EPP top candidate Jean-Claude Juncker i said: "Yes, I got that. Voters would be discouraged from going to the next EU elections if it didn't happen."
