Van Rompuy seeks to avoid institutional clash after EU elections

EU council chairman Herman Van Rompuy i told Een TV station that he will seek to avoid a "clash" with the European Parliament on who will become the next commission president. MEPs warned they will veto the nomination if it is not one of the top candidates - Schulz or Juncker.
