Renzi names judge for Italian presidency post

Italian PM Matteo Renzi on Thursday named judge Sergio Mattarella as his preferred candidate as Italian president, but only in the fourth round of voting, when a simple majority is enough for election. Mattarella failed to be elected in the first round, in which a blocking minority cast blank votes.
