Italy offers to host EU anti-migrant trafficking mission

Italian news agency Ansa on Tuesday reported that Italy is willing to host an EU-led mission to fight migrant traffickers in the Mediterranean. Citing unnamed EU sources, the agency says Enrico Credendino, an Italian admiral, might be proposed to lead the mission, which still needs the backing of the UN.
