Annual meeting between European Parliament committee and ECA

ECA President Vítor Caldeira and Members of the ECA will welcome the MEPs who are members of CONT, including their chair Dr Ingeborg Gräßle, to the ECA's premises.

The main purpose of the meeting is to exchange information and discuss the ECA's annual work programme and the Parliament's annual discharge procedure and political priorities, as well as any other relevant topics and procedural issues (e.g. European Fund for Strategic Investments and the ECA's audit mandate, the ECA's annual and special reports, the restructuring of the ECA as a task-based organisation).

The EU auditors meet the members of CONT in Luxembourg each autumn. The meeting is always scheduled one month before the ECA presents its annual report to the European Parliament at the start of the annual budgetary discharge procedure. This year, the ECA's annual report on the implementation of the EU budget will be presented to CONT on 10 November.
