First set of audit reports on EU Agencies for 2015
This week we published the first set of specific annual reports on European Agencies for the financial year ended 31 December 2015. Every year, the ECA audits the annual accounts and the legality and regularity of the transactions underlying those accounts, for all the European Agencies, Joint Undertakings, Schools and other bodies.
European Agencies are created by EU legislation to undertake specific tasks and are active in many areas, such as safety, security, health, research, finance and migration. Each agency has its own mandate, board, director, staff and budget.
Further specific annual reports are expected towards the end of the year.
