Besluitpunt "Proposal for a Council Regulation on support for rural development by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) = Political agreement"

The Council: − reached unanimous political agreement on the basis of a Presidency compromise, to which the Commission gave its support; the consolidated text is set out in 10352/05; 10262/05 ket/JF/mm 4 DG B EN − instructed the Special Committee on Agriculture, on the basis of that compromise, to finalise the draft of the new Framework Regulation for the implementation of a rural development policy for the period 2007 to 2013; − agreed to enter the statements made on this issue during the meeting by the Council, the Commission and some delegations in the minutes of the Council meeting which adopts that Regulation as an "A" item. Those statements are set out in Annex II to 10352/05.
